CONSERVATORY roofing firm Ultraframe plc today impressed the city with its first results since flotation.
The Clitheroe firm, in which employees own a £20 million stake, announced profits in the year to September 26 soared by 68 per cent to £12.84 million - higher than expected when the firm floated three months ago. Turnover increased by 26 per cent to £53.5 million and the firm said prospects were good.
Managing director Ian Robinson said the workforce had demonstrated their commitment to the company by subscribing to shares before it floated.
"It was with great enthusiasm that our employees embraced the concept of becoming stakeholders and showed great dedication in completing the additional workload imposed by the flotation process," said Mr Robinson,
Shares, which have soared from their initial placing price of £1.47 to £2.25, were unchanged in the city earlier today.
