TWO-year-old Jake Rose was in a jam when he locked himself in the bathroom of his home.
But firefighters came to the rescue and broke a hole in the door with a hammer to rescue the sobbing youngster.
Jake, who lives in Warwick Close, Church, had pushed the bar across, locking the door, but was unable to release it.
After an hour of wrestling with the door and shouting instructions, his family called the fire brigade as a last resort.
His mum Margaret Rose said: "We think he was trying to push it the wrong way and wouldn't let go of the door handle.
"He kept saying 'mummy, stuck' and started getting a bit upset. We just couldn't budge it."
Firefighters broke a hole in the door panel and reached through to release the lock.
Margaret added: "The fire brigade were really good and I'd just like to say a big thank-you to them."
