A NEW season is just around the corner and it promises to be the most exciting time ever for Rugby League in this area.
Lancashire Lynx have worked hard in the off-season to build a solid team ready to push for promotion.
New Zealander Kevin Tamati is the man behind the Lynx but with the introduction of ex-Great Britain full back Steve Hampson as coach, he is taking a seat in the stands.
"I am director of Rugby, Steve will coach the players while I'm in charge of all other matters. We must get promotion. Last year we won every home game but away from home we were abysmal!"
On Sunday the Lynx play Challenge Cup holders St Helens at Deepdale and West Hull in the Challenge Cup at home on February 1.
