AN ENTERPRISING Leyland actress is set to take Shakespeare into a new hi-tec era.
Cheryl Willis, who is now based in London, is setting up an interactive film company in the capital. The venture involves making films to be watched on computers, and the spectator can choose the characters and what happens to them.
It means acting out countless scenes to provide for all the possible outcomes. Cheryl's role is to sift through submitted scripts and choose the best.
But before the 25-year-old embarks on her ultra-modern mission, Cheryl is making a welcome return to her roots for the C'est Tous Theatre Company's production of Macbeth, at the Worden Arts Centre, Leyland.
The former St Mary's High School pupil will brew up trouble as Lennox the witch. She said: "I'm really excited about coming back home to perform."
Cheryl was one of only 60 students to be taken on at the Mount View Theatre School in London.
Macbeth runs January 19-31, with shows Monday to Saturday at 1pm (except Saturday) and 7.30pm. Telephone 01772-431300 for details.
