A COUPLE whose car curiously cut out at the same spot three times have called for other people who have suffered the same problems to come forward.
Kaye Sanderson's Toyota lost power as she was driving in Lytham close to an aviation radar on her way to see her parents just before Christmas.
Astonishingly, the car restarted after a few of seconds and the 37-year-old could continue her journey.
But since then on two other occasions, exactly the same thing has happened at exactly the same spot on North Houses Lane. Even a local garage couldn't explain why. Mrs Sanderson, of Garstang Road, said: "It's a mystery. I couldn't believe it when it happened three times."
Her husband Frank believes signals from the radar may have been enough to affect the immobiliser temporarily.
He said: "We don't know for sure but it's very strange. There could be lots of people out there who've had the same thing happen to them and wasted hundreds of pounds getting their cars checked at the garage to see what was wrong."
