DETECTIVES are hunting thugs who attacked a couple on the Metrolink platform at Prestwich.
Passengers looked on in terror as a 28-year-old female was dragged along the platform and punched and kicked. A man who was with the woman was also assaulted.
Detectives have issued descriptions of two of the five-man gang following the attack which happened last Saturday, January 10, at 9.45pm.
One was aged in his 30s, bald and wearing a light top and dark jeans. The other was the same age, had short brown hair and was wearing dark clothing.
Police are also anxious to talk, in confidence, to anyone on the platform who witnessed the assault.
