ALAN WHALLEY'S WORLD
FROTH-blowers of the Carr Mill Hotel's discussion corner have come up with another yedscratter for customers of this column to mull over.
Harking back to the halcyon years of ballroom dancing, they ask: "Can anyone tell us where the West Park Dance Academy had its premises?"
There is some debate as to whether that little temple of the quick-step, waltz and tango was ever, in fact, located in the West Park area of town.
Apparently, it was run by a rather exotic young lady named Rita Pover whose partner was Malcolm Denby.
ANYONE able to fill in a few details? Then please drop me a line.
