RESIDENTS in Morecambe's Clarence Street have asked police, environmental health officers and their local MP to intervene at a house where a woman was recently murdered.
A man has barricaded himself in the house and residents claim he is abusive to passers by and plays music at all hours.
The property was the scene of a murder just before Christmas and shocked residents claim the unknown man is upsetting local people.
One resident said: "He's smashed in the door and is living there playing loud music. He's put a threatening notice on his door and is abusive to people in the street. The Rainbow Centre is across the road which is used by lots of elderly people and we're concerned about that state of the property."
Chief Environmental Health Officer, Roger Dennison, confirmed that they had received complaints about the house and that action was being taken.
He said: "We've received complaints and there is some concern about the state of the property and the actions of the occupants. I can't say too much at the moment as the file is active but we are monitoring the situation."
