BLIND Date babe Krysia Reidy wants a rendezvous with the hunk who rejected her on the TV matchmaking show.

Millions of viewers saw David Smith, 28, take a trip to Nepal on his own after the beauty he chose on the show failed to turn up.

Now Krysia, of Greenside Avenue, Blackburn, wants to console David, a caravan park manager from Skipton, with a date of her own.

And today she promised to turn up, unlike her rival Charlotte Harrison.

Gorgeous Krysia, 25, who was number three on the show, said: "I felt really sorry for David when he went on the date on his own. I'd have gone with him. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

"As soon as I found out David was from Skipton I thought great! It would be so easy for us to keep in touch.

"We could have done all along. It's his fault for picking a Baywatch babe!"

"I don't want a romantic date. I just want to meet up and be friends, and he won't have to worry about me not turning up!

"I would like to keep in touch with David because he is local and seems like a really down-to-earth lad. "

Krysia said David was different from the "pretentious southerners" on the show, but she was not allowed any contact with him after the cameras stopped rolling.

She said: "I wanted to talk to him, but we were told not to have any communication with the two who were going on the date."

Since David clinched overnight fame last week, offers have flooded in from admiring lasses captivated by his charms.

But today David, of Threshfield, near Skipton, was unavailable for comment.
