TWO wartime pals were reunited after one read an article in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
Coun Gathorne Bland, of Rawtenstall, and Mr Frank Aspinall, of Accrington, served together in Norway during the Second World War.
Mr Aspinall contacted his old friend after seeing his name mentioned in a report of a Rossendale Council meeting, and they met again for a chat about old times.
