PUPILS at an infant school have been praised by inspectors for their behaviour and for reaching national learning standards.
Youngsters at Rosegrove Infant School, Owen Street, Burnley, were described as showing a consistent and genuine interest in their work.
Inspectors from Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Education, also highlighted their behaviour in class and around the school as very good and children were polite and courteous.
A report by the inspection team said pupils were reaching satisfactory levels in all areas of learning.
But in maths the National Curriculum was not being fully covered and the school has been urged to ensure requirements for maths are taught.
The report adds: "Taking into account the quality of education, standards of attainment and the expenditure for each pupil, the school is giving satisfactory value for money."
