Mark Templeton Surfs the Net

SOCCER is on the Internet in a big way...just ask Kevin Keegan!

Fulham players will be wearing the Demon Internet logo on their shirts from next season after the club and the firm announced a £1.5 million sponsorship deal. Keegan, chief operating officer for Fulham FC, said that with football booming on the Internet, now was a good time to sign such a deal.

Several football clubs, including Chelsea and Leeds Utd, have already set up large-scale Internet business programmes, either as content or even connectivity providers.

"Anyone who has been online will know that football is booming on the Internet, and we will be working very closely with Demon to exploit this potential," said Keegan.

Join Beckham and score a gem

DIAMONDS seem to be a (Spice) girl's best friend.

And if that's true they should be flocking to this site called Gems and Jewels.Com.

Although the prices are in dollars they do seem to be reasonable when you convert to pounds.

And the site is backed by celebrities including, erm, Joan Rivers! There are thousands of glittering items for sale.

Or if your boyfriend is a top Manchester United player and you are in a leading girl band you could buy them all.

Cyber sites sizzle over Bill

AS if Bill Clinton didn't have enough on his mind at the moment . . .

The Internet has always been an excellent source for gossip and scandal, even if some of it is disputable.

So at the moment there is a frenzy going on in cyberspace surrounding recent White House revelations.

There are some superb pages which I'm sure Bill would be worried about if he didn't have other things occupying his time right now.

One of the most fascinating is a site which claims to have the messages from the President's personal pager. It's a fascinating read. And there's all sorts of other wacky and irreverent stuff like the Crazy Clinton Countdown Timer, which estimates how long he has left in office, psychological studies of the world's most powerful man and specialist joke pages.

Just type Clinton into your favourite search engine and see what it throws up.
