A MEMBER of a well-known rugby league family has died. Joseph (Joe) Halton, aged 70, passed away in a Shipston-on-Stour hospital, Gloucestershire after a short illness. Joe's brother Fred (deceased), and his youngest brother Ernie, played for Salford and Liverpool City RLFC during the 1950s. The funeral at Bidford-upon-Avon was due to take place this afternoon (Thursday).
