GLAMOROUS North End assistant secretary Pat Elliott has a wealth of experience that can only be assets in her new role at the Deepdale club.
Born and bred in Preston, Pat has had a wide range of jobs from being an air traffic controller in the RAF to ten years as a catwalk model.
The ambitious mum-of-two also owned Tulketh Hotel for 10 years and was sales manager at Broughton Park Country Club.
But it was a cheeky chat to Deputy Chairman 18 months ago that was the first step to where the avid North End fan is today.
She explained: "I knew they had the banqueting facilities in the new stand. I rang up and asked if they had anyone selling them to businesses. They said no and I talked myself into a job." Since then Pat hasn't looked back. She turned it into a thriving product that has now been taken over by famous restauranteur Paul Heathcote.
Her new busy role sees her working right across the board on everything from looking after players, matchday arrangements and providing administration support to both the chief executive and rugby managers. But throughout her life Pat, who has maintained her links with the hotel trade as a Director of the North West Tourist Board, has relished a challenge. She said: "This is no different. It's hard work but I love it.
"I never anticipated I'd be taking on this role, but I've not been as happy at work in 10 years."
