DIG the groove and join hundreds of other swinging 70s fans for Night Fever which is sweeping through Preston.
The nostalgic dance event, organised by Preston promoters, started last October and tickets sales have soared. It regularly fills the university's students union on Fylde Road and has now expanded into two rooms at the venue.
Party-goers are invited to dress in the glitter and glitz of the era which has made a comeback in recent months - The Spice Girls are always seen sporting platforms, the Star Wars trilogy has been re-released and Boogie Nights is being shown at the cinema.
Promoter Frank Sanderson has teamed up with Levi Loverman Stax to offer this step back in time, and they hope to take it to venues nationwide.
Frank said: "The 70s era is popular because people don't take it seriously and can really let their hair down. It's an excuse to have a good time.
"It appeals to those who witnessed it the first time round and want to relive it, and those who are just beginning to experience the culture."
The next Night Fever hots up this Saturday (January 24) from 9pm. Tickets cost £3-£5, from the students union or the Adelphi pub on Fylde Road.
