LEIGH are discussing a possible link-up with Super League giants St Helens.
Centurions bosses have agreed to talks about a possible tie-up after turning down a similar approach from Warrington last year.
Since then other Super League clubs - Bradford, Hull and Leeds - have struck partnerships with Dewsbury, Wakefield and Bramley respectively.
If the proposed deal is in line with other link-ups, Leigh could temporarily loan Saints players who may be out of the current Knowsley Road first team picture while St Helens could have first refusal on the crop of young talent at Hilton Park.
Leigh have not dismissed the Saints approach and have indicated they will examine all angles before making a final decision.
