KAMIKAZE Corner has gone back to the drawing board!
Consultants who created the controversial roundabout servicing the Parsonage Retail Park off Atherleigh Way, have been asked to look again at the design.
The Journal was inundated with complaints from readers following the opening of the new Twist Lane/Atherleigh Way junction.
Drivers, pedestrians and a local bus operator called for a re-think on the road lane lay-out.
One critic claimed drivers were being directed to go where even men on a suicide mission might fear to tread.
The roundabout has been designed to national standards but Wigan Council have now asked the consultants to take a fresh look at it, following the complaints.
