HEART swap hero Geoff Porter is full of surprises.
Twelve months ago Geoff, from Blossom Street, Tyldesley received a new heart in a lifesaving transplant operation at Wythenshawe Hospital.
And fund-raising friends celebrated the anniversary of Geoff's operation at a surprise party organised by his wife, Maureen, at the Conservative Club around the corner from their home.
Battler Geoff auctioned a Cricket bat autographed by Lancashire County Cricket Club players to raise money for the North West New Heart-New Start Appeal.
The bat was donated by Geoff's son, Gary who is Lancashire CCC's promotions manager.
Geoff, 58, never expected the "This is Your Life" party celebrations where well-wishers raised £500 for the Wythenshawe fund.
