JOURNAL readers who have a reputation for clowning around now have the chance to do it properly!
For the Town Centres Management office is looking for anyone prepared to put on a clown outfit to hand out leaflets and bring a touch of cheer to Leigh and Golborne town centres in April.
There is also a need for a professional clown to come forward to offer advice and join in the promotion.
April will also see a show in Leigh Library by well-known local performers Gary and Vera Aspey.
Gary commented: "We were closely involved in putting together the canal rally which was cancelled because of the death of Princess Diana and we hope this spring our show will bring a touch of joy to Leigh."
Anyone wanting to find out more about the clown role is asked to contact Town Centre manager John Ayres on 01942
705792.
