A MAN was taken to hospital with a lacerated ear after being pinned against a wall by a bull at a slaughter house.
Ambulance crews from Clitheroe said the animal tried to bolt for freedom over an iron gate which swung open trapping a worker against a wall.
The accident happened at Rose County Foods , Castill Laithe Abattoirs, Sawley, Clitheroe.
The injured worker from Burnley was taken to Burnley General Hospital where he was treated for head injuries but not detained.
An ambulance spokesman said: "The bull made a dash for freedom by trying to jump over the gate. The worker got trapped between the gate and the wall with the full weight of the bull pinning him against the wall. The man was very, very lucky to receive just receive minor injuries."
A spokesman for the company said: "The worker has not been detained in hospital. He is all right."
