THE BURNLEY Independent Supporters Association are backing Ray Ingleby's takeover bid at Turf Moor.
The Association favours the American-based businessmen taking control ahead of the other two potential bidders after hearing of his long-term plans for the club.
Press secretary Dave Winn said: "Ray Ingleby has said all along that he is looking at it as 20 years minimum. He has looked at other clubs but he says Burnley is a high profile club, like Blackburn, and the fan base is there and the stadium has already been redeveloped."
"He has been there since last May and could have walked away so that it is promising."
FORMER Burnley coach Harry Wilson has joined Bury's backroom staff, taking over as reserve team coach at Gigg Lane.
Familar faces at Bury, who are struggling to stay in the First Division, will be ex-Clarets Peter Swan and Adrian Randall.
YORK City manager Alan Little enjoyed mixed fortunes on Tuesday night when he came to watch Burnley before his side's visit to Turf Moor today.
Chris Waddle rang the changes for the Auto Windscreens Shield tie which left Little's homework incomplete.
But at least the City boss got a glimpse of Mark Robertson who was set to make his full league debut today, providing he passed a fitness check on a foot injury.
Another interested spectator at Burnley's 2-0 win over Notts County was Crewe manager Dario Gradi.
BURNLEY reserves are not scheduled to return to Pontins League action until Wednesday, February 11 when they entertain Shrewsbury (7.15). Their recent inactivity has seen the Clarets slip off the Second Division promotion race but they have several games to re-arrange.
THE CLARETS are currently out of the running for this season's FA Fair Play awards.
Burnley finished as runners-up in the Second Division category last season but Bristol City and Watford are currently setting the pace.
In fact the top three in the Fair Play awards occupy three of the top four places in the Second Division promotion race, with Bristol Rovers also figuring. That comes as no great surprise as clubs earn credit points for goals scored and debit points for cautions.
CLARETS fans with an interest in the turf can get a glimpse of two horses that are to carry Burnley names when they launch their racing careers for the Valley Paddocks Racing Club.
Up the Clarets and Turf Moor will be going to Penrith-based trainer Jonjo O'Neill to learn their craft but before doing so they will be on view at an open day at Laund View Stables, Fence tomorrow from 11am-3pm.
BURNLEY strips and clubwear are included in the sale at the club shop.
