A CONMAN cashed hundreds of pounds at bank branches across the county using forged travellers cheques - then argued with a clerk over a £2.50 handling fee.

The man hit TSB branches in Great Harwood, Accrington and Nelson before running off when staff at Colne became suspicious.

He had already conned staff in Preston, Penwortham and Chorley.
