COUNCILLORS decided their East Lancashire borough should have nothing to do with the dumping of nuclear waste.
Members of Rossendale council's health committee agreed to refuse to talk to a new company set up by the Government to deal with the matter. Coun Margaret Talukdar suggested that talks with the company, Nirex, should be held. But Coun Noel O'Brien said she should offer to house the waste in her own back garden.
