I RECENTLY received a letter from Bernard Matthews plc which states that on their turkey burgers there is a profit for the supermarket of 35 per cent plus.
I consider this to be grossly excessive and if it is reflected in supermarket food generally, it is no wonder that the cost of living is high.
When ordinary working people ask for more money to compensate for these high prices they are cast in the role of greedy demons and are creating inflation with their unpatriotic ways.
It is the supermarkets which are being greedy and unpatriotic and should be told so in no uncertain manner.
