LANCASHIRE Hawks' face a mouthwatering midweek clash tonight with two sets of brothers waiting to link up - one for the Hawks and one definitely not.
And nobody is looking forward to the clash more than Hawks defenceman Ian Plews, who will come face to face with his brother Scott when the Paisley Pirates attempt to rob the Hawks of two Northern League points at the Arena (face off 8pm).
But with the injury crisis worsening, Hawks are down to their bare bones - which could also mean a call-up for Alan Hough's older brother Alan.
The former Hawks star is now youth coach at the Arena, and is likely to be given some ice time as the Hawks prepare to plunder their own reserves to see off top of the table Pirates.
Upcoming Finnish star Teenu Jelkanen from Blackburn Phoenix, the Arena's English Division One outfit, and young starlet Wesley Fawthrop could both get a second spell on the bench after their heroics against Fife on Sunday.
Canadian Jeff Daniels has already sat out the last four games and is still struggling with a groin injury while defenceman Neil Abel ducked out after one period on Sunday and Simon Mills is doubtful with a leg injury.
All three will face late tests.
