A SECURITY firm established less than a year ago is expected to double its turnover in the coming months.

Pentagon Security Services, based in the Kingfisher Business Centre, Hollymount, Rawtenstall, provides uniformed security officers for big distribution sites.

It also provides loss prevention services for several major High Street retailers.

The company was set up by managing director Stuart Rosbottom, who lives in Burnley, and now employs 85 throughout the country.

He said: "We provide some 4,000 hours manned presence throughout the UK and by the end of May we expect that to double.

"Our annualised turnover is currently £1.2 million but we anticipate that to rise by £2.5 million by late summer."

Stuart puts his success down to his staff's wealth of experience and his decision to put the financial side of the business in the hands of Calways Chartered Accountants.

"With professionals handling my accounts and payroll and using that information to drive the business forward, I am free to concentrate on customer care and performance.

"That means I can lead from the front which makes all the difference."
