POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an incident which left an 18-year-old man with a broken jaw.
The victim was waiting in the queue of The Captain's Table chip shop in Warrington Road, Rainhill, at about 11.30pm on Thursday, February 5, when he was set upon by two men.
The first bit him on the nipple then a second attacker, whom the victim didn't see, punched him to the side of the face.
The victim was taken to Whiston Hopsital before being transferrred to Walton where he underwent an operation to put two metal plates into his jaw which had been broken in two places.
The first attacker is described as white, aged 20 to 30 years with a stocky build and dark hair.
