SMALL businesses are being offered the chance to invest in their safety thanks to a scholarship offered by The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents and Esso.
Legislation requires employers to appoint people to assist in carrying out health and safety duties and this can be expensive for small businesses.
Now the ROSPA/Esso Safety Scholarship is offering a grant of £3,000 to send an employee on a National Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health course.
Applicants have to write a 500-word essay to say how the course would benefit them and their company.
