BLACKBURN with Darwen Council is looking for two special people to help celebrate its new unitary status.
Residents of the borough are invited to nominate people who they think deserve to join in the celebrations in a special way.
Nominees in the young person's category could be a scamp who has mended his or her ways or a wayward teenager who has developed a sense of responsibility.
The adult category is open to people who have helped to improve the quality of someone else's life.
Prizes are a balloon flight for the successful youngster and dinner for two at a top restaurant with wine and flowers for the adult.
The competition is one of several special events which will involve people from Blackburn and Darwen to mark the changeover to unitary status on April 1.
All entries to the Public Relations Unit, Town Hall, Blackburn, BB1 7DY, by March 15.
