TEN-year-old animal lover and entrepreneur Holly De-Luca is advertising a hamster holiday service after spotting a gap in the pet care market.
Holly has created her own advertising posters and distributed them in shops near to her home in the Pike Hill area of Burnley.
She is offering to look after hamsters or guinea pigs for £1 a week or 50p for a long weekend.
She came up with the idea after asking her parents, Paul and Pamela, if she could have two guinea pigs.
Mum, an office manageress, said: "I said she could, but only if she could arrange for someone to look after them when we are away.
"That gave her the idea of setting up her own hamster holiday service. I don't think she is really doing it for the extra spending money but because she really recognises the need for such a service.''
Holly now has her own pets, Sooty and Taylor, and is now looking for her first customers for Holly's Hamster Holidays.
Holly attends Cliviger CE School. She is in the Brownies at Cliviger and also enjoys Latin-American dancing at the Candy Club, Manchester Road, Burnley.
Anyone wanting further details of Holly's pet care service can contact her parents on 01282 411037.
