THE proposal for car boot sales on Sundays in Blackburn town centre during the summer and, hopefully, associated fairground razzmatazz, is most welcome.
Most folk have not got the convenience of a car nor want the aggravation of a trek with children on public transport to other towns that have such regular events.
The town centre car park venue would have the advantage of car parking space and cover when it rains.
How one remembers the thwarted efforts of Tommy Ball to provide the very same thing some 10-15 years ago.
