Clock Face Miners 10 Spotland 18 TWO late tries, one well into injury time, robbed Clock Face of a well-deserved victory after they had lead throughout most of the game. Paul Cooney opened the scoring for Clock after 10 minutes when after a fine break by Jimmy Crooks and converted his own try. Spotland got back into the game with an unconverted try mid-way through the half, then just before half-time they drew level, with a penalty goal under the posts.
After the break Clock kept up the pressure and regained the lead with two penalty goals which they held until the last minute, when Spotland finally broke through the Clock defence to score a try. Five minutes into injury time, they went over again to give them a rather flattering win. The Riley Concrete Pumping man of the match was Paul Cooney.
