Blackpool Stanley 36 Parr Hare & Hounds nil A WEAKENED Hounds side went down to a second league defeat of the season at the hands of a strong, well-organised Blackpool outfit.
There was little to choose between the sides in the opening quarter but two converted tries just before half-time gave the seasiders a 12-0 advantage.
Another Blackpool try almost immediately after the re-start left Hounds with a mountain to climb and although they strove manfully they were unable to breach the rock-like home defence.
Lost possession and some strange refereeing decisions didn't help the visitors' cause either and when they were reduced to 11 men in the final stages by injuries, Blackpool took advantage to run in three more tries without reply.
In a spirited team effort, Hounds were best served by Paul Proudlove, Mark Houghton, Barry Wilson, John Wainwright, Mike Corrigan and Mark Corrigan.
