FORMER Gigg Lane favourite Andy Gray faces an off-the-field fixture back in Bury.
The 33-year-old, now playing with Millwall FC, has been charged with a speeding offence which is said to have taken place in Whitefield last September.
While Gray is currently living in the south, his address was given as c/o Bury FC and he was represented by the club solicitor, Mr Anthony Shimmin.
He told the Bury magistrates that the player could not attend as he was currently receiving medical treatment and had "mobility" problems.
The case will now be heard on March 5. Bail was granted.
