ARE we in danger of missing the point in the continuing debate about wind "farms"?
Darwen Moor is a relatively small area which can be walked over and enjoyed partly because of its open vistas.
I certainly do not want to look at 300-feet monsters on White Hill.
We should be fighting to preserve these open spaces for as long as possible.
After all, if we want, as we all do, to reduce carbon emissions use a bike, walk, switch something off, turn the thermostat on the central heating down a couple of notches, close curtains at night to keep the heat in etc.
Most of all turn your car engine off when parked up for a few minutes.
Then perhaps we may be able to "lift our eyes up to the hills" and enjoy the view.
JOHN WALSH, Cranberry Close, Darwen.
