FORMER Shakers ace David Johnson was at the centre of a three way battle for his international services this week.
The 21-year-old striker, still the Bury leading scorer with eight goals, is wanted by Jamaica his country of birth, Northern Ireland and England.
Although he sat on the bench during an England Under-21 international against Greece in December he never took part and Northern Ireland manager Lawrie McMenemy asked him to turn out for his side in next Wednesday's friendly against Slovakia.
To complicate matters further Jamaican boss Rene Simoes requested the former Manchester United youngster to play for him in matches against QPR tomorrow and Wales next Wednesday.
Johnson, who has scored a sensational 17 goals since leaving the Shakers for Suffolk, turned down both managers preferring to take his chance with England.
