A VIDEO aimed at booting racists out of professional football was shown at Ewood Park as part of a nationwide launch.
The specially commissioned video is part of the national Show Racism the Red Card campaign.
Gordon Taylor, the President of the English Professional Footballers Association, was guest speaker at the launch.
He was joined by officials from Blackburn with Darwen Council, Blackburn Rovers chairman Robert Coar and Tony Higgins, President of the Scottish branch of the PFA.
Children from schools in Blackburn and Darwen were also invited along to the prestigious event.
Town hall chiefs have agreed to back the campaign with a £1,000 donation.
Malcolm Doherty, leader of Blackburn with Darwen Council, spoke at the launch.
He said: "I am delighted to be associated with this campaign and I hope the high profile launch will help raise awareness about racism one of the biggest social evils we face."
