PARENTS, children and educationalists flocked to Bury this week for the Bury Times sponsored Education 2000 exhibition.
Stalls covering every aspect of education, from uniforms to the Internet, were on hand to show the customers the latest developments in the education field.
"I was really pleased, there was a lot of business done on the day," said Julie Wheeler of the Bury Times special publications department.
The show was so successful that another is already being organised for October.
The audience were entertained by the Wardle High School Band, who played outside the Elizabethan Suite.
Stall-holders and visitors were welcomed by Mr Mark Rossiter, editor in chief of the Bolton Evening News Group, which publishes the Bury Times. Some of the other VIPs included the Mayor of Bury, Councillor Roy Walker, and Mr Harold Williams, Bury's chief education officer.
The crowds were entertained in the evening by local pop group Al!ve, who appeared earlier this year on the National Lottery show on BBC1.
