AN electrical fault at St Helens Central sparked chaos for commuters going to and from St Helens on Tuesday night.
In total 26 trains were delayed for a total of 312 minutes - eight of those trains were re-routed to St Helens Junction - and four trains were part-cancelled. The defect which became apparent at 5.10pm was finally repaired at 12.55am on Wednesday morning.
