'NO dome' campaigners handed a 1,000 signature petition against the Xanadu project to Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott.
Kay King and Graham Connor expressed their feelings to the Secretary of State for the Environment during his May Day visit to Haigh Hall.
Afterwards Green Party local election candidate and arch Xanadu opponent Chris Maile said:"The time has come for the whole community to unite in a common voice before the whole of the green wedge between Liverpool and Manchester is destroyed making both Leigh and Wigan no more than suburbs of an extended Manchester city."
