A LORRY driver was kidnapped by robbers at knifepoint at Forton Service Station this week.
The driver was forced into what might have been a dark coloured transit van and driven around for hours before he was dumped near Clitheroe. Other robbers in the gang made off with his lorry which contained £100,000 worth of whisky and computer equipment.
"Physically the man is fine although obviously he is in shock," said DC Brian Quinn of Lancaster police. "He has been able to supply us with some good information."
Police are appealing for witnesses to the abduction which occurred on the outgoing slip round leading to the southbound road on the M6 at about 10.30pm on Tuesday night.
