LINE up all those who want to sail from Fleetwood to the Isle of Man this summer - there is just one ferry trip all season.
The May 27 day trip by the Lady of Mann is all that is left of the port's once thriving connection with the island after the IoM Steam Packet Co axed regular services earlier this year.
Nevertheless, news of the single trip was grasped with joy by Wyre Council.
"There is still life in the ferry service yet," said countryside, leisure and tourism officer Tom Pridmore.
"The council will continue to discuss ways with the Steam Packet Company and tourism agencies along the Fylde Coast and in the Isle of Man to restore a more regular service in the future."
Leisure and tourism chairman Coun Mike Anderton added: "The ferry service has been a popular cultural and historic attraction in Fleetwood for many years.
"We hope there will be a full ship on board on May 27.
"This would show the Steam Packet Company there is still a high demand for crossings."
The Lady of Mann departs Fleetwood at 10.30am, arriving in the Isle of Man at 1.50pm, returning that evening at 7.30pm to arrive back at 10.50pm.
Tickets are £25 for adults and £12 for five to 15-year-olds, available at Fleetwood Tourist Information Centre from 10.30am to 4.30pm daily.
