Leeds United Res 5 Blackburn Rovers Res 0
CALLUM Davidson's return from injury was the only bright spot as Blackburn Rovers Reserves crashed 5-0 to a strong Leeds team who clinched the Pontin's League Premier Division title at Elland Road last night.
David Hopkin volleyed Leeds into an early lead and soon added another. Derek Lilley and Andy Gray (pen) also scored before half-time.
Rovers threatened only rarely, with James Beattie working hard, and Lilley scored a fifth in the last minute.
It was a poor end to Rovers' season, with a depleted team taking only one point from the last three games in six days.
ROVERS: Fettis, Reed, Coughlan, Broomes, Davidson, Johnson, Andersson, Staton, Whealing, Beattie, Cassin. Subs: Harding, Lawless, Williams.
