A ROAD rage victim told police he missed death by inches after he was knocked unconscious in a late night chase.
The 23-year-old from Blackburn was forced to take drastic measures after he was threatened by a five-strong gang armed with a hammer.
The victim told police he missed death by inches when an iron scaffolding bar impaled his car.
He was knocked unconscious when he crashed into railings at the side of the road and an iron scaffolding bar smashed through his vehicle missing him by a fraction.
The terrifying chase took place shortly before 1am today in Whalley Road, Langho.
The victim was driving home from work in Whalley when he was approached by five men on the A666 near Langho railway bridge.
The five men, who were all Asian, were travelling in a light blue C registered Blue Rover 200.
The gang forced their victim's B-registered Nissan Micra off the road and he was forced to reverse at high speed to escape from his attackers.
