I REALLY must object to the flippant and misleading nonsense in the advertisement (LET, May 6) for an event at Blackburn Rovers on May 15 purporting to be a Sixties night with "flower power" and a "60s DJ for a kickback into the Rock 'n' Roll era."
This is an insult and injustice to the real rock 'n' roll era, which was in the 50s' - not the Sixties' rock bands, flower power, hippies or soul groups.
Obviously, there are people in the "golden oldies" business who need to get the facts sorted out before blurting out such confusing and contradictory blurbs.
