WOW! I've just read John Blunt's tirade 'What happened to the ten commandments?' (LET, May 6). Here is an angry man.

How I wish there could be a commandment that said: "Thou shalt see the other person's point of view. "You see, Jesus gave us an eleventh commandment - 'Love one another!'

If we could learn to love one another then we wouldn't go around hurting one another, but this doesn't come naturally to us. We have to be taught.

The people of the Old Testament had several wives. Polygamy was a way of life and babies were born out of wedlock, even to Jesus' ancestors.

Perhaps it all went wrong when we tried to get people to live under the law in the first place.

For how can you have a law which allows two people to marry and promise to live together until death, and then have a law that allows them to divorce? Logic says that one or the other should go.
