A TEENAGE girl who claimed to the police that a man indecently assaulted her in the early hours of Saturday morning changed her story this week.
The 17-year-old fled to police after two other women came to her aid when she claimed assault. Police then issued a public appeal for witnesses the following morning.
It was then that the teenager changed her story.
A spokesman for Lancaster Police said: "After further interviews with the young lady involved it emerged that the incident didn't actually take place in the circumstances reported.
"We are not looking for any other information as regards indecent assault."
