ECCLESTON suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Widnes ICI on Saturday.
ICI had first use of the crease, but Rainford soon had the visitors' openers back in the pavilion.
But a stand between Yearsley (56) and Evans (62) helped ICI to 151.
Rainford finished with figures of 2-41, Johnson 3-27 and Gee 3-14. Eccleston started their innings disastrously with four players back in the pavilion for 17. Atherden (23 not out) and man of the match Rainford (20) offered some resistance but Eccleston crumbled to 72-9.The seconds were also beaten at Widnes.
