LEIGH came down to earth with a resounding crash against Sefton Park.
The visitors recovered from 38-4, Kane Kersnovke and Graham Duddle doing the damage, to post a healthy 152.
In reply Leigh managed a pathetic 61.
Thankfully, normal service was resumed in the Abbot Ale National Cup match against Didsbury.
Leigh surged to an impressive 187 with Dave Dove hitting 69, Tim McKiernan 40 and Chris Hall 36.
Didsbury were restricted to 34 in 16 tight overs when the rains came, giving Leigh victory on a superior run rate.
In the next round Leigh are at home to Cheshire County League high fliers Widnes.
