LEYLAND was today gearing up to give visitor Princess Anne a right royal welcome.
Her Royal Highness was due to stop off at Runshaw College this afternoon (Thursday), to open a new £4 million extension.
After a quick tour of the ground floor, the HRH was set to continue her whirlwind trip to the North West - taking with her a silver brooch created by Runshaw art and design student Donna Steele. She said: "I enjoyed making it and I hope the Princess enjoys wearing it."
Among the dignitaries invited to the event are South Ribble's new mayor, Coun James Owen. He said: "It is a fantastic start for me. It will be the first time I have met a member of the Royal Family."
